Florence and Cinque Terre Discovery

Duration

7 days, 6 nights

Florence, the cradle of the renaissance, is often referred to as the most beautiful city in the world. It’s also the city with the most abundant art heritage in the world and is considered a must stop when visiting Italy.

You can visit the Accademia Gallery and admire the Michelangelo’s work from up close. Stroll through Piazza della Signoria, and the main square of the city, where the Palazzo Vecchio stands. Make sure you don’t miss the Duomo and the Franciscan Basilica di Santa Croce, which features frescos by gothic artist Giotto. Then stop for some gelato in one of the many exceptional gelaterias. If you’re a meat eater, try the traditional Fiorentina rib eye steak. For vegetarians, don’t miss the “ribollita”.

After you stay in Florence explore the charming coastal villages of the Cinque Terre, composed of the coastal villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Cornelia, Manarola and Rio Maggiore. These are UNESCO heritage sites for a good reason, and access is strictly on foot. The pastel colored houses, colorful fishing boats and seafood trattorias will leave you yearning for more Italy.
